Website Launch

¡Bienvenido/Welcome to the SOLAS website! We have created this space with the hopes that it will be an active forum for all UNM students studying Latin America to share their insights as well as to promote pertinent on and off-campus events that relate to the region. Additionally, this site will serve as a platform for broadcasting research and personal experience in our interaction with Latin America whether it be academic achievements or activist endeavors. We urge all people throughout UNM, New Mexico and the world over who are committed to shaping the discourse about the socio-cultural, environmental, political and economic realities of the Americas, to participate and advocate for social progress through critical debates. As a community of active citizens and scholars, we hope that this site will be just a humble beginning to the larger task of our generation in making this world a more equitable place for everyone regardless of race, gender or class.
